Communications Analyst (Written)
Summary
This position is located in the Financial Management and Assurance team. As a Communication Analyst (Written) you will be responsible assist in the development and production of written products. The incumbents support teams and individuals by helping to analyze data and develop the message of products, as well as revising sections of drafts. This is an entry level position.
Duties
As aCommunications Analyst (Written), CS-1001-1your typical work assignments may include the following:
Prepare written communications that concurrently support multiple teams or individuals working on specific products.
Work with teams or individuals to draft products using plain language to help GAO communicate complex ideas to the general public in written products as well as social media posts.
Review draft products and revise written information of a technical nature for logic, clarity, consistency, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to GAO quality standards.
Draft content to make GAO's work appealing to external audiences, such as websites, blogs posts, and other social media.
Work with analysts, particularly new staff, to help them improve their writing skills.
