About UFW Foundation: For 16 years, the UFW Foundation has mobilized farm workers and their organizations across the country to advocate for more equitable policies, such as immigration reform, pesticide protections, heat standards, hazard pay and other worker protections. We engage constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty while also providing critical services. In fact, the UFW Foundation is the largest federally accredited immigration legal service provider in the state of California. The organization has staff in California, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, New Mexico, and Georgia.

SUMMARY: The UFW Foundation is seeking a Temporary Document Digitizing and File Clerk. The Document Digitizing and File Clerk assists the People Relations team organization and record keeping. The Document Digitizing and File Clerk will report to the People Relations Manager.

SUPERVISING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for this position must have a high level of professionalism and organization. The candidate must demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Digitize People Relations documents to our cloud-based document management and file sharing system (Egnyte), as well as our cloud-based human capital management, analytics (ADP), and compliance (CalChamber and NeoGov+) systems. 
  • Creates and updates digital files as assigned, including uploading digital files from our cloud-based document management and file sharing system to our cloud-based human capital management.
  • Assists with creating document digitizing and filing protocols.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Ethical practice: Ability to adhere to the standards of HR professional conduct. HR professionals are responsible for adding value to the organizations we serve and contributing to the ethical success of those organizations.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Detail-oriented.
  • Dedication to Mission. A genuine interest in immigrant and farm worker rights.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Requires ability to respond to questions from groups of managers and staff.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior document digitizing, filing, and archival processing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma and two years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
