Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is the largest pro-life political organization in the country with a nationwide network of more than 1 million Americans. We combine politics with policy, investing heavily in voter education to ensure that pro-life Americans know where their lawmakers stand on protecting the unborn, and in issue advocacy, advancing pro-life laws through direct lobbying and grassroots campaigns.


The Compliance Director is a critical partner to every department and entity at SBA. It is the focus of our department to serve all other departments by getting to a “yes” whenever we can. The person filling this role needs to possess that same creative approach. This position provides compliance management to the Vice President of Administration through managing compliance needs across multiple entities. Under the direction of the Vice President of Administration, the Compliance Director maintains all necessary and appropriate records, files and processes to ensure the smooth and compliant operations of the organization, focusing on accuracy and excellent communication to the Vice President of Administration.


This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Vice-President of Administration.


Essential Functions:

  • Manage compliance and risk management activities across our entities and departments. Identify risk and assess to protect our entities and mitigate exposure.
  • Develop relationships with external regulatory contacts to which we regularly register and report including Federal Elections Commission and various states for lobbying activities.
  • Manage the filing of all required reports including lobbying and political reports due to various agencies.
  • Liaise with our attorneys on compliance matters when needed.
  • Manage the compliance associate in her role to develop requirements to maintain a high-quality database of service providers.
  • Train and educate our staff on updates to compliance requirements as well as leading routine annual compliance trainings.
  • Remain up to date on compliance requirements for the wide array of activities we participate in.

  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.

Physical Demands 

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.  

Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.   

May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.


Position Type/Expected Hours 

40 hour per week. Weekend and overnight work is not expected occasionally.


Required Education/Experience

· Bachelor's degree.

· 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role.
