  • 3+ years’ experience in advertising, or advertising policy
  • 2+ years’ experience in content moderation or similar field
  • Experience working with Public Relations, Legal or Public Policy teams
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with cross functional groups.
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and have the ability to effectively influence and communicate with global stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels, including senior leadership.

As part of Advertising Trust’s Policy team, you will have high visibility across Amazon business lines, establishing the right customer experience and long-term strategy for the success of Amazon Advertising. We are a global and diverse team with a long tenure in online advertising, expertise in developing customer experience solutions for highly complex situations, risk mitigation, and brand integrity. Key job responsibilities
  • Manage a queue of high judgement content review cases and respond within a defined SLA.
  • Build and maintain effective ad policies across the book space
  • Create, and report on, weekly metrics such as review volumes and precision rates.
  • Deep dive and resolve content moderation challenges.
  • Design and provide training to a larger group of content moderators in high judgement use cases
  • Identify teams and businesses within and outside of Amazon Ads who are solving the same problems and build mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Activate and maintain a rapid incident response mechanism for high risk use cases.
  • Assist in the execution of policy leadership initiatives and vision by doing all we can to ensure teams are set up for success.
A day in the life
We are seeking a Policy Manager, Advertising Policy to be part of the WorldWide Ad Policy team as a content reviewer specializing in high judgment use cases, primarily in the book advertising space. The Policy Manager will review content for compliance with our ad policies in categories that require deep research and awareness of current and emerging events. They will develop knowledge in locale specific requirements and make decisions that consider cultural and societal norms. They will be rationale driven, leave no stone unturned and back decisions with clear justification. They will hold a high bar for accuracy and strive for a zero-error rate. They will identify areas for collaboration, resource sharing and escalation management coordination between multiple teams across Amazon that work in the same space, in order to bring consistency to our advertisers and shoppers,
The successful candidate will be a strong owner and solution orientated. They will thrive in ambiguity and be curious, leaving no stone unturned. They will be highly autonomous with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous area.
You will be a key owner of the Amazon Ads customer experience, tenaciously and continuously advocating for our customers by keeping ad policy and enforcement of those policies true to our principle of customer obsession. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,000- $129,800/yr however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The base pay range for this position in Jersey City is $74,000- $129,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
