Senator Mark Kelly seeks a professional to serve as Scheduling Assistant in his Tucson, Arizona office. This position reports to the Deputy Scheduling Director. The individual will assist the scheduling team with tracking and managing incoming requests and assemble the Senator’s briefing materials while in state. The Scheduling Assistant will also coordinate logistics and manage state work period days. Additional responsibilities include driving the Senator – sometimes on evenings and weekends; the ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license and impeccable driving record. Qualified applicants must be highly organized, detail oriented, skilled in problem solving, adaptable to a rapidly changing schedule, and able to prioritize and follow through on concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment. A desire to excel at administrative tasks is critical. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and oral communication skills; is highly organized and meticulous; can anticipate problems, offer solutions and communicate succinctly with tact and diplomacy; and is able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Previous Congressional work experience in scheduling, commensurate executive assistant experience, or logistical expertise is required. 

Candidates with Arizona ties preferred, and written and verbal Spanish proficiency highly desired. This is an entry level position that offers a salary of $50,000 and is eligible for benefits and overtime.
