The office of Senator-elect Andy Kim seeks a Director of Scheduling to lead his scheduling team, overseeing the operation and implementation of the Senator-elect’s schedule. This is a senior-level position and previous experience scheduling for a high-profile principal and management experience is required.

The ideal applicant will think strategically, have excellent communications and organization skills, and a demonstrated commitment to public service. This position reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategic Communications and Planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervisory: Leads and manages a team of up to three employees. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with office policy and all applicable laws. Responsibilities include training and managing the performance of Washington and New Jersey-based scheduling staff;
  • Overseeing the organizing, vetting, and response to incoming meeting requests and invitations;
  • Working with senior staff to plan and implement a strategic scheduling approach. 
  • Working directly with the Senator-elect and senior staff to weigh strategic scheduling priorities. 
  • Proofing and approving memos and materials before being delivered to the Senator-elect and senior staff.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience
  • 2-4 years of management experience
