Comms Position – Senate Banking Committee:
The Senate Banking Committee Majority staff is looking to fill an open position on the communications team. This person would support the Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director to further the Chairman's communications goals on the committee and help ensure a successful, well-run press shop operation.
Primary responsibilities include ownership of digital media portfolio and drafting written materials (press releases, talking points, op-eds), but this person will have the opportunity to pitch in on all communications efforts. The ideal candidate would be a strategic thinker, proactive, and discerning; would have an interest in financial services policy and a desire to become an expert on turning policy into digestible messaging; and would be willing to be the utility player of the committee communications team. Experience range for applicants is recent graduate to two years.
