Job Description
The office of U.S. Senator Alsobrooks seeks a Deputy Scheduler/Assistant to the Chief of Staff. Primary duties include organizing, vetting, and tracking incoming meeting requests and invitations; coordinating travel arrangements; assisting the Director of Scheduling with the Senator’s daily and long-term schedules; maintaining all scheduling files; and other administrative and operational duties as required. Responsibilities include driving the Senator to events and meetings in Washington DC, staffing the Senator at various events, and handling other special projects as needs arise. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to a vehicle are required. Prior scheduling experience is preferred. A successful candidate should be available to work flexible and unpredictable hours, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment, pay close attention to detail, and work well with a team.
