Amazon is seeking an experienced, motivated communications professional to drive corporate communications for its low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network, Project Kuiper. This is a unique opportunity to shape one of Amazon’s most ambitious new initiatives, and to have a positive, lasting impact on customers and communities around the world.

As a Senior PR Manager for Project Kuiper, you will drive overall strategy and planning for the team and oversee key cross-team programs, including executive communications, internal communications, media engagement, and more. You will be responsible for developing messaging, executing successful campaigns and milestones, building and sustaining strong media relationships, and scaling programs to reach a global, diverse set of audiences.

You will partner closely with senior leaders across the business and various support teams across Amazon (public policy, legal, finance, etc.) to deliver on this program. As a key advisor to the business, you must demonstrate excellent judgment, earn trust with internal stakeholders, and be willing to dive deep into complex topics. You must also be able to clearly articulate ideas in both written and verbal communications, anticipate potential issues and headwinds for the business, find ways to simplify and streamline work, and effectively advocate for decisions that protect the long-term interests of Amazon and its customers.

Along the way, you will have a chance to define the long-term vision for this exciting new business, and to help Project Kuiper deliver on its mission to connect tens of millions of residential, enterprise, and government customers around the world.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define and execute communications programs to advance global business, policy and industry leadership objectives for Project Kuiper
  • Establish clear communications goals and track progress on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Drive executive communications for Kuiper leadership
  • Manage engagement with key media, analysts, and influencers
  • Establish and scale cross-team communications programs, including internal communications, speaking and thought leadership, community engagement, issues management, and more
  • Oversee cross-team measurement, research and reporting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $224,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
