Organizational Description:
The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is a 501(c)3 organization with a mission to connect, educate, and empower the Asian Pacific Islanders American (APIA) community in Nevada. Founded in 2015, ACDC advocates on issues critical to the well-being of our diverse and vibrant communities. We approach our work with the philosophy of coalition-building and developing capacity for the APIA and other, diverse racial/ethnic communities. ACDC is based in Las Vegas, and has a satellite office in Reno, Nevada.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant serves an integral administrative and support role in ACDC’s Executive Office. Duties include support of organization’s donor relations of databases, meeting and events coordination, assisting in program documentation, expense reconciliation, and heavy scheduling & calendaring for a senior executive. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and perform multiple administrative functions with competing and tight deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide primary administrative support to the COO.
• Manage schedule/calendar and travel arrangements.
• Coordinate COO communication and activities with staff.
• Coordinate production and dissemination of executive reports, products, and publications.
• Office Management and Reception duties.
• Prepare agenda, plan, and organize meetings.
• Assist in planning internal agency functions, activities, and events.
• Assist in the preparation of Board of Directors Agenda and Minutes.
• Attend and assist with required agency wide functions, events, and meetings.
• Special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the COO.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ experience in administrative support
• Acute attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications in a Windows/Mac environment.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including good spelling and grammar
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and working efficiently in a busy environment
• Experience working effectively in team environment
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience or interest in a non-profit organization working in community development.
• Tech and social media savvy, particularly with G Suite, Zoom, and Basecamp.
• Demonstrated experience working with Asian and/or Pacific Islander communities
• Bi-lingual or bi-literate in an Asian or Pacific Islander language
