Communications Coordinator

Join a fast paced, strategic communications firm that has done work with leading labor unions, progressive organizations, nonprofits, and candidates. As a boutique shop, the firm prides itself on its hands-on approach that puts an unparalleled focus on the success and results of our clients. 


Responsibilities: 

-Contribute directly to getting results for clients by; drafting media prep memos, developing media press lists, pitching stories to major TV outlets and print publications.

-Have a voice on a small team and opportunity to work on assignments with real substance for a variety of different clients, ranging from labor unions, to health care advocacy organizations, voting rights organizations and more.

-Gain unique experience and career training by working directly with the principal and the firm's other team members.

-Serve as point person for compiling media clips for a wide range of clients. 


Qualified Candidates:

-Individuals who have at least one year of communications experience in a firm, campaign, Capitol Hill or organizational setting. This can include substantive internship experience.

-Self-motivated individuals who can work independently and won’t be afraid to share ideas with team members.

-Prospective candidates must thrive on delivering results

-Strong writing and grammar skills are a must

-Candidates must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

-Candidates should have a passion for communications and politics, be looking to learn, and are encouraged to ask questions


This position is salaried, commensurate with experience. This is a position with a central office in Washington, DC., with the option to work completely remotely.
