Health Policy Advisor

Senator Patty Murray seeks a Health Policy Advisor to work on abortion, reproductive rights, public health, and other health care policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Managing the senator’s health care priorities within the Senate, including within the HELP Committee;
2. Leading the Senator’s work on abortion and contraceptive access and other reproductive health initiatives, including coordinating with other offices on caucus-wide efforts;
3. Staffing the senator for hearings and markups, and at meetings and events with Washington state-based and key national partners and stakeholders, pertaining to the policy portfolio; and
4. Collaborating with other members of the senator’s personal office staff and Appropriations Committee staff to advance her policy agenda.

This is not an entry-level position and prior Congressional experience is strongly preferred. The base salary for this position is $92,500.
