The Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) seeks applicants for a full-time or part-time press/digital media intern.

The Intern will work closely with a fast-moving press shop and will be expected to contribute significantly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: designing graphic and video content for social media, drafting talking points, tracking media hits, building and maintaining press lists and working to engage different audiences about the Congressman's work in Washington and New York.

Qualified applicants should possess a professional and courteous demeanor, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, fastidious attention to detail and an interest in Hill communications and the governmental process.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students and recent graduates seeking Hill experience. Opportunities for school credit are available, and a stipend will be provided to qualifying interns. New York ties are preferred, but not required.
