Campaign Communications Director

Experience level: 2-5 years Communications Director - A Republican campaign for an incumbent member of Congress is seeking an organized, enthusiastic and experienced Communications Director.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Generate earned media coverage of candidate's message through proactive planning and rapid response;
• Design campaign graphics;
• Write press releases, statements, media advisories, talking points, columns and remarks;
• Field and respond to all media inquiries and oversee comprehensive media tracking program;
• Manage all campaign social media accounts;
• Travel with the candidate to media events as needed; and
• Work closely with campaign team to align messaging and strategy.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a communications position for government office, political campaigns, organizations or a high profile non-profit required;
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including on-the-record experience;
• Track record of success in a fast-paced, high stakes environment;
