Field Director

Role: Campaign Field Director.

Compensation: $4,500-5,000/month, full-time.

Candidate: Virginia Maloney is a native New Yorker, born and raised on Manhattan’s East Side. As a Democrat running for City Council, she believes New York is at a pivotal moment that requires progressive, community-focused leadership. Virginia is committed to addressing the pressing issues of affordability, government accountability, and safe streets. She sees the challenges facing the city as an opportunity to rebuild and reshape New York into a stronger, safer, and more equitable place for all. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and retain a large team of enthusiastic volunteers to communicate the campaign’s message to voters via door-knocking, phonebanking, and street canvassing.

• Identify and develop a team of volunteer leaders to assist the campaign in planning and execution of field responsibilities.

• Draft and execute a strategic field plan to collect petition signatures, identify supporters, and turn those supporters out to vote.

• Oversee the candidate’s direct voter contact responsibilities. • Track metrics and adjust strategy to keep the campaign on pace to meet its goals.

• Create all direct voter contact scripts, and set up campaign tools to track responses to direct voter contact conversations. 

Qualifications:

• Ability to establish a safe and respectful campaign environment that is conducive to productive collaboration between campaign staff and volunteers.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Expertise in NGP VAN/Votebuilder.

• Familiarity with spreadsheet management.

• At least one cycle of NYC field experience (paid or volunteer).
