Job Description
Berger Hirschberg Strategies is a Political Fundraising Firm in NYC seeking a deputy-level position to aid in the advancement and fundraising of many political clients for the 2024 cycle and beyond. This position will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising plans for several clients, managing call time, helping to plan and execute low and high dollar events, and working on donor research and prospecting. This position will also work with database management and compliance programs for many clients. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in the field of fundraising. The level of access to the elected officials, and candidates themselves is unparalleled. Candidates should be hard working, organized, have a strong ability to multitask, work independently and think creatively to problem solve.
Expectations include:
- Work with the firm’s federal political team to implement several finance plans for many clients at one time in order to hit fundraising goals
- Work with the political team of the firm to prepared background materials for political clients for event and meeting briefings
- Create successful fundraising events from start to end; organize and staff fundraisers
- Help to execute and coordinate logistics for national trips including national travel, as needed
- Manage and staff call time, as needed
- Overall assist in managing the federal practice and ensuring the team reaches monthly and quarterly goals
Qualifications:
- 1-2 cycles of campaign finance experience, previous statewide or congressional campaign finance team experience (or equivalent) preferred
- Donor prospecting and research experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Excel and Google Docs a must, NGP is preferred
- Knowledge of Numero a bonus
- Strong written and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, attention to details, and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills are a must
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Salary and Benefits:
● We offer a comprehensive benefits and salary package based on your experience. Salary range $50,000 - $65,000.

We offer 1 week of vacation during the summer after 90 days with the firm
We offer 1 – 2 weeks of vacation during the December break
