Reports to: Political & Organizing Director

Location: This position is based out of Seattle. It will be largely remote through the winter and then transition to in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers through traditional, constituency, and digital organizing tactics.
  • Developing and managing relationships with activists, down ballot campaigns, grassroots organizations, local leaders, and other partners.
  • Executing campaign to win support from local party organizations.
  • Serving as a surrogate at local party and grassroots events. 
  • Managing visibility programs, including sign distribution.
  • Planning and executing field and political events.
  • Staffing the candidate and events as needed.
  • Contributing toward building a positive, collaborative, inclusive team culture.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.



Requirements

  • Commitment to Democratic causes and passion for organizing.
  • Some organizing experience.
  • Experience or interest in learning digital and relational organizing tactics.
  • Positive attitude. Willingness to pitch in where needed. “No task is too small” attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence.
  • Willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends, and travel.
  • Willing to relocate to the Seattle area.
  • Drivers license and reliable access to a car.
  • Washington state experience preferred.
  • Experience with NGPVAN, Mobilize, Reach, or other campaign software preferred.

Salary & Compensation: This is a full-time position through the end of the campaign cycle. Salary range is $4,250-$5,250 monthly, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits including healthcare, dental, and travel reimbursement will be provided.
