Summary
This position is located in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Administration, Office of the Chief Operations Officer, White House Operations Center. The incumbent will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist responsible for performing work involved with intentional and/or unintentional crises, disasters, humanitarian emergencies, hazards, or natural and man-made/technological incidents as well as other incidents that may impact overall campus operations.

Duties
As a Emergency Management Specialist, GS-0089-11/12, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
Serves at the technical authority and expert for the development of alert and notification policies and procedures and assists with determining the requirements and methods of all-hazards notifications.
Develops and assists with overseeing the implementation of operational policies, procedures, and emergency action checklists to initiate and manage the EOP's all-hazards alert notification process.
Identifies shortfalls in response operations and/or exercises and recommends immediate corrective action and procedural and policy changes required to enhance emergency response.
Operates and tests equipment and capabilities providing recommendations on the development of systems and technology to enhance emergency operations activities and security.
Maintains liaison with the White House stakeholders and EOPC personnel to coordinate specific projects and/or assigned emergency and continuity operations.
