Summary

This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Office of the Assistant Administrator (OAA) with (1) vacancy that will be a remote position with the duty location determined after selection.

Duties

As a Supervisory Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

Serve as senior subject matter expert on legislative, regulatory, and policy issues relevant to fisheries, protected resources and habitat conservation.

Develop and evaluate strategies for short and long-term planning of agency fisheries, protected resources and habitat conservation policy formulation and evaluation in association with organizational decision makers.

Serve as a senior NOAA representative in stakeholder meetings and interagency policy forums. Coordinate with other federal and state agencies to advance NOAA s objectives.

Plans and distributes work to be accomplished by subordinates; evaluates the work performance, providing technical oversight and instruction.
