Position Overview:
The Lifelong Kindergarten Group (LLK) at the MIT Media Lab is seeking to hire a full-time Creative Learning Coordinator to develop creative learning activities and coordinate educational initiatives for children and educators around the world. LLK is an international leader in the development of creative learning technologies and activities for young people, with a wide range of collaborations with educational organizations and foundations. Its initiatives impact millions of educators and young people around the world, with a focus on supporting the needs and interests of young people furthest from educational justice.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support LLK educational initiatives to promote creative learning experiences. for young people and educators around the world.
- Serve as lead liaison for select global partners.
- Develop and facilitate creative learning activities and workshops.
- Coordinate project meetings and events for educators and educational partners.
- Collaborate on the development of case studies and learning resources.
- Document and prepare reports on creative learning initiatives.
- Serve as a lead organizer for LLK educational events.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum two years of administrative and/or project/program management experience required;
- Experience facilitating online and in-person events for educators and learners;
- Experience organizing and facilitating activities for participants from diverse backgrounds;
- Deep understanding of ideas and strategies for supporting creative learning;
- Experience with research and evaluation of education initiatives;
- Skilled at collaborating as part of a team and also working independently;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
PREFERRED:
- Master's or equivalent experience in education or learning sciences;
- Global education experience preferred.
