The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson are recruiting for a Senior Manager, Product Communications & Public Affairs to support its Janssen Cardiovascular and Metabolism (CVM) business. The position will be based in Titusville, New Jersey.

Position Summary
The Senior Manager will lead the development and implementation of integrated product Communications and Public Affairs (C&PA) strategies to support our CVM business in Janssen’s largest market, with a primary focus on XARELTO® (rivaroxaban).
Driving business objectives, building stakeholder trust and advocacy and inspiring employee engagement are critical parts of the role, which involves partnering with a broad range of stakeholders across Johnson & Johnson.
This role will serve as a strategic communications partner to the Vice President of Key Accounts, Institution, Specialty and Chronic Care, CVM and report to the C&PA Leader for CVM.
Primary Responsibilities
Utilize knowledge and insights from internal and external networks, as well as prior experience, to lead the development and implementation of strategic C&PA plans that drive business objectives and reputation outcomes and help shape the environment for the company’s CVM portfolio
Maintain strong understanding of the issues affecting our business and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated, multi-channel strategies that support appropriate access to our medicines, while addressing unmet needs within the community
Build and maintain stakeholder trust through proactive advocacy efforts, issues management and public relations, with a key focus on engaging and supporting specific cardiovascular patient advocacy communities
Identify, track and respond to potential issues through proactive C&PA strategies, in partnership with the Janssen U.S. Public Affairs team
Develop relationships with key media, including social media influencers, and together with the CVM C&PA Leader serve as spokesperson for CVM-related media inquiries
Manage public relations agencies as well as individual contributors, contractors, or interns as assigned
Shape and influence business decisions and serve as the trusted advisor of the Vice President of Key Accounts, Specialty and Chronic Care, CVM, leading the development and execution of internal communication strategies and messages to inspire, engage, inform and align employees
Equip CVM business leaders with the tools and messages needed to effectively communicate across internal and external channels; collaborate with leaders to ensure integration and alignment with strategic direction and brand narrative
Lead the development and approval of content and materials as well as event organization and logistics as we activate C&PA programs that support CVM business objectives
Proactively drive business and enterprise outcomes by identifying and applying key outcomes metrics to C&PA practices, and provide insights that drive confidence, integration and alignment
Partner closely with therapeutic Area Communication Leaders within the Janssen Research and Development organization, Corporate Media Relations and Investor Relations
Foster the sharing of best practice and learnings with cross-functional colleagues
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree
Proven performer with 7+ years of experience managing communication in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency
Proven track record of successful communication, corporate communication, product approval and launch communication support and / or media relations achievements
Success working in a matrix environment
Deep familiarity with traditional, social and digital communications tools and channels
Ability to build relationships and influence partners
Strong experience in media relations and issues management
Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, environment
Exercise excellent judgment at all times
Experience in managing project budgets / schedules
Proactive, self-starter and able to work independently and in team environment
Minimal / moderate level of local and domestic travel
Preferred
Direct health care / pharmaceutical / product experience
