Field Organizer - Alves for Danbury

We're building the team to help re-elect Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves in one of Connecticut's most competitive and closely watched municipal races in 2025. In 2023, Alves flipped 20+ years of Republican control, breaking GOP majorities and supermajorities citywide, to become the first Democratic Mayor of Danbury in over two decades. Now in his first re-election campaign, we're working to hold that ground.


We are seeking Field Organizers to be an integral part of the field team for Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves’ re-election campaign. The ideal Field Organizer is a highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, can work in a highly diverse environment, can exercise sound judgment on the go, works well under pressure, and has experience being part of a team and understands what it means to show up for one.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute the field plan
  • Organize, lead, and participate in voter contact initiatives (canvassing, phone banking, texting, voter registration, and constituency mobilization)
  • Organize, recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for voter contact operations
  • Ensure data integrity through training and quality control while hitting weekly goals
  • Plan & execute field events, manage on-the-ground visibility


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and personal presentation skills
  • 1 – 3 cycles of campaign experience
  • Strong writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and take creative approaches to meeting goals
  • Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps; Canva a plus
  • Must be able to work campaign hours as well as nights and weekends as needed
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle


Position Type: Full-time, in-person

Location: Danbury, CT

Salary: $4,000/month
