Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an individual to join our Government Solutions Practice Group as a Public Affairs Advisor, supporting the federal lobbying team in our Washington DC office.

We are seeking an individual who is highly organized, detail oriented, professional, and has strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a team-player capable of handling multiple tasks with shifting priorities and tight deadlines with minimal supervision and a positive work attitude. A willingness to learn and grow in this position is key.

The Advisor’s responsibilities will include: tracking legislation and conducting legislative research and analysis; scheduling appointments with Congressional offices, and assisting with client fly-in preparation; creating presentations/materials for policymakers and clients; monitoring and summarizing congressional markups and hearings; assisting with lobbying compliance federal reporting requirements; and performing other duties as assigned.

The qualified candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Government, Political Science, or a related field and must have a minimum of one (1) year of legislative, research, or administrative experience. Capitol Hill or Federal Administration experience required. Knowledge of legislative and political process and experience scheduling meetings desired.
