MajorDuties
As a Health Communications Specialist you will: Provide consultation and technical assistance to internal and external groups (e.g., CDC staff and local, state, and international partners) about health communication and marketing program, project, and strategy development and implementation. Develop, implement, and manage national communication and marketing programs, projects or initiatives for various audiences, including demonstration projects. Ensure health communication activities are based on theory and use accepted principles, methods, and practices. Oversee development, coordination, and maintenance of partnerships. Serve as a technical resource to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate translation and dissemination of scientific information. Support the health communication and information dissemination efforts for assigned programs and review, edit, and clear communication and marketing materials and presentations by professional staff. Coordinate the gathering of data/other information and writing documents such as fact sheets, program briefings, questions and answers, one-page program summaries, web pages, and program-in-briefs. Perform other duties as assigned.
