Position: Director, Communications

Reports To: Senior Vice President, Communications & Marketing

Location: Arlington, VA/Work-from-home Flexibility 


Are you a hands-on communications professional with policy and advocacy experience and a strong desire to learn?  

Come join the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), the national organization helping members navigate regulations and innovations to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of medicines and healthcare products. They are seeking a Director of Communications to create and implement strategic communications in support of HDA advocacy and policy efforts and industry value positioning.

As the Director of Communications, you will manage the day-to-day activities that advance the association’s advocacy and policy agenda and industry value narrative with key audiences, including media, third-party organizations, policymakers, supply chain partners, and HDA members. This position reports to the SVP of Communications & Marketing.

Qualified candidates offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or journalism
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public affairs & communications
  • Experience in advocating legislative positions & knowledge of legislative process & general business issues
