Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Early Childhood Development (ECD), located in Washington, District of Columbia.


Duties

The incumbent serves as a Public Affairs Specialist coordinating ECD's communication and outreach activities across the Policy and Strategy Division. Duties include:


Serves in a liaison capacity to OC representing ECD's communication priorities and needs, helping to coordinate day-to-day ECD content postings to ACF websites and social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Works on complex, highly visible and potentially sensitive activities and special projects designed to achieve coordinated internal and external messages and foster an effective exchange of information on key web issues.

Assists in the implementation of Agency-wide policies, procedures, and standards governing written and visual web and new media to deliver the ECD's information and message.

Ensures that digital products are readable, of high visual quality, customer friendly, and in concert with agency mission and programs.

Works to incorporate the best analytics, search, and site improvement techniques.

Represents ECD in collaborative communication activities.

Supports and coordinates responses to controlled communications requests.
