SUMMARY

UnidosUS seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support the Home Ownership Means Equity (HOME) initiative within the Economic Initiatives team. The Administrative Coordinator will report to the SVP for Economic Initiatives and collaborate closely with the Program Manager and Administrative Assistant for Economic Initiatives. Tasks will include program support, including coordination of website content and quarterly newsletter.

The Economic Initiatives team leads strategy and execution of the HOME initiative, a multi-year effort to increase Latino homeownership. Our goal is to transform the economic trajectory of Latinos by enabling the creation of four million new Latino homeowners by 2030. We will achieve this goal by advancing systemic change across public policy and market practices, informed by research and data, amplified by a communications strategy, and shaped by community-based practices.

The position is hybrid and will be based in Washington, DC. Depending on the candidate, we may be open to remote work, with periodic travel to Washington, DC.

Salary: $43,426 - $48,455

Essential Functions

Success in this role requires an ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, good judgement, a positive attitude, and a willingness to be a proactive problem-solver.

HOME initiative support and coordination:

  • Enhance and maintain HOME’s SharePoint site for file storage.
  • Create and maintain a stakeholder relationship management tool.
  • Create and maintain tracker of timelines, deliverables, and payments of funders, grantees, and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain a team calendar of program-related activities for the HOME Initiative that overlays relevant internal and external activities and events.
  • Support HOME events, as needed.
  • Support HOME Affiliate Network with taskforce convening and data collection.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders such as Policy and Advocacy, Marketing and Communications, Programs, and Affiliate Engagement teams to support efficient communication across UnidosUS.

External communications coordination and content creation:

  • Create and sequence content for the quarterly HOME newsletter and HOME microsite updates, including creation and maintenance of HOME editorial calendar.
  • Research, collaborate to collect, and write content for the HOME newsletter, microsite, social media postings, blogs, and other platforms.
  • Support dissemination of HOME information, announcements, materials, and tools with Affiliates and external partners.
  • Conduct desk research to inform programmatic efforts and planning, including summarizing studies and articles.
  • Plan and execute activities for the Latinos in Housing group.

Qualifications & Requirements 

Education and Experience 

  • Associate's degree.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate expertise in MS 365 Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Latino civil rights issues and awareness of the policies that impact Latinos and their families.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) ability.
  • Project management or experience with Monday.com.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Able to work well independently and remotely.
  • Ability to spend time on the Hill and work in a hybrid environment (part-time in the DC office, part-time virtually).
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
