Governtment Relations Specialist (Contract)

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for advocating the company's position on legislative and regulatory matters, consulting with internal and external stakeholders, and developing strategies to influence decision-makers. As a key member of the team, you will advise executive management on government relations, grassroots advocacy, and lobbying activities to enhance the company's sphere of influence.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate the company's position on legislation and regulations
- Consult with management on strategic decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with external entities
- Advise on grassroots advocacy coalitions
- Lead grassroots advocacy efforts
- Define strategies to influence decision-makers and stakeholders
- Develop company positions for government relations guidance
- Provide information to government officials on relevant issues
- Supervise the creation of reports and documentation related to lobbying activities
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Ability to network effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of legislative processes and government affairs
- Leadership skills to guide advocacy efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Certification in Government Relations or Public Affairs a plus
