Are you interested in learning how to navigate the politics of Capitol Hill? Venn Strategies is a fast paced, independent boutique lobbying and public affairs firm in Washington, DC. Venn is seeking interns to join staff working on areas such as healthcare, tax, economic policy, environment/infrastructure, national security/trade, and financial services. Venn offers interns a working environment with challenging and engaging opportunities for public affairs and political careers to develop. Interns work directly with the firm’s government affairs team on a wide variety of projects, and clients. Our boutique firm environment enables an intern to be exposed to range of policy issues common to the federal government, while allowing them to focus on areas of professional interest to further his/her career.
Example of Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support staff on real-time event planning
· Participate in and take notes at policy briefings, hearings, advocacy meetings relevant for the client teams you serve
· Monitor legislative and policy developments and conduct in-depth research on specific policy issues
· Prepare memos, transcripts, bios, and facts sheets on assigned topics
· Schedule congressional staff meetings and/or support client meeting prep
· Perform other duties as required
We are currently accepting applicants for our Summer Internship, which runs from June to August. The internship will be virtual for 2021. This is also a paid internship.
