Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a Learning & Professional Development Coordinator to join our team working to protect New England’s environment for all people. The Coordinator will work full time to support CLF’s new Interim Director of Attorney Development and the organization’s Human Resources department to launch CLF’s training and professional development strategies and initiatives. During the first year, the Coordinator will work closely with the Interim Director of Attorney Development to successfully launch a pilot attorney training program and will provide administrative support to the Interim Director of Attorney Development. After the first year, the Coordinator will focus on supporting attorney training and development, HR training, and other efforts related to staff professional development.


 


The Coordinator will be based in the Boston, MA office with some opportunity for remote work within New England.


 


 


What you’ll do


The Coordinator will report to the Interim Director of Attorney Development and support the day-to-day implementation of attorney development and HR training strategies and initiatives. The Program Coordinator’s responsibilities will include the following:  


 


•        Support the development and execution of core attorney training and development programming and events, including management of logistics such as scheduling, budget/expenses, and preparation of program materials.


•        Maintain an organized system of training and staff attendance tracking across the organization, utilizing CLF’s HRIS (UKG Ready) where appropriate.


•        Communicate with vendors on third-party training offerings and work with Director to provide CLE credit when applicable.


•        Work with our Human Resources team to schedule and plan for specific HR-related training programs.


•        Assist with feedback survey design and assessment of the organization’s progress towards its training goals through analyses of quantitative and qualitative data.


•        Help adjust programming over time to take account of new and evolving learning and development needs.


•        Assist with expense reports, reimbursements, check requests, invoices as needed.


•        Assist with tracking, evaluating, and reporting on staff professional development budgets and expenses.


•        Collaborate with the Director, HR, and program staff to organize and promote our programming both internally and to prospective legal fellows and attorneys.


•        Serve as an internal resource on training and professional development opportunities.


•        Provide other administrative support for training and professional development initiatives and projects as needed.


 


 


 


 


 


What you’ll need


We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as a productive team member. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:


 


•        At least three years of relevant work experience. Professional Development or HR-related experience preferred.


•        Good judgment, strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.


•        Ability to be proactive, plan ahead, push projects forward and meet deadlines.


•        Ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.


•        Strong administrative capabilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive), Zoom, plus the ability to learn new applications and software quickly.


•        Commitment to developing new skills and taking on new responsibilities.

•        Passion for CLF’s mission.


•        An undergraduate degree preferred or commensurate experience.

Salary & Benefits


CLF offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits plan, and an open, inclusive, and accepting work environment where differences are highly respected. The starting salary range for the position is $55,000-$64,000; actual salary will reflect experience and qualifications.
