Director (Cybersecurity Planning and Operations)

EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT


Summary

This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD). The incumbent serves as a Director for Cybersecurity Planning and Operations Directorate within the ONCD and serves as one of the principal staff members responsible for the formulation, coordination, and implementation of policy related to cyber defensive operational planning, resilience planning, and cyber incident response planning.



Duties

As a Director (Cybersecurity Planning and Operations), GS-0301-14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following:


Plan, direct, and coordinate the development and implementation of policies on U.S. defensive cybersecurity planning and operations, to include cyber defensive operational planning, resilience planning, and cyber incident response planning.

Work with the Intelligence Community (IC), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and other departments and agencies in maintaining awareness of malicious cyber campaigns, cyber incidents affecting the U.S., and, in general, plans, tactics, and capabilities of malicious cyber actors.

Responsible for all matters pertaining to the formulation, coordination, and implementation of United States Government policy related to cybersecurity planning and operations.

Maintain oversight and assess effectiveness of department and agency initiatives and defensive cyber campaigns.
