About the Role

As Priorities’ Content Associate, you will be responsible for supporting Priorities USA’s online presence on organic social media platforms, specifically Instagram and TikTok. The Associate will work cross functionally to develop and execute compelling and effective organic social content campaigns to support the overall mission of the Paid Media team, most notably the influencer program. This position will report to the Senior Content Manager. This position will have the option of being remote or working out of Washington, DC where we have an office, with occasional travel as needed. Working hours are 10AM to 6PM ET regardless of location.


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day social media programs on Instagram and TikTok, and additional future social media accounts.
  • Develop concepts, write content, manage a content calendar, engage in internet trends, support rapid response efforts, and provide reporting and insights on our owned content performance. Manage content approvals process before anything is posted. 
  • Support the influencer program by managing collaboration posts with content creators, creating and distributing shareable content for our creator network, identifying creator relationship opportunities, and campaign reporting. 
  • Stay up-to-date on digital trends and best practices, and pitch ideas for creator campaigns and new tactics to improve our online brand.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 cycles or 1-3 years of experience working within a social media or content creation team. Experience on a campaign or with a political organization, familiarity with paid media programs is preferred. 
  • Proven ability to curate meaningful and engaging content for different social media platforms - Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, etc. Experience building new social media platforms for a campaign or organization is a plus. 
  • Experience analyzing organic content performance and producing reports. 
  • Proven ability to turn a concept into compelling content and incorporate brand voice and personality. 
  • Experience working with content creators in the political space is a major plus.
  • A desire to work collaboratively and learn from media consultants, pollsters, analysts, other teammates, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others who might not always agree - you will be working cross functionally with several other members of the Priorities team with different experiences and perspectives and will need to communicate clearly and effectively to be successful. 
  • Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to crises calmly and with poise.


Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience.


Priorities USA offers a competitive salary and benefits package which includes 100% of the health care premium covered for the employee and 75% for dependents, a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% employer match, paid holidays, and flexible PTO.

Application Process Information

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications should include a resume and cover letter. The hiring process for selected candidates will consist of a phone screen, at-home exercise (compensated), and a set of final round interviews. Most processes will occur over 3-4 weeks with a target start date in early June. 


This is a cycle based position, ending at the end of 2024.
