Democratic senator seeks a legal fellow to work on their legislative team for summer 2023. Primary responsibilities include supporting senior legislative staff in developing legislative proposals, working with constituents and stakeholders, tracking legislation, and drafting oversight letters and participating in investigations. Candidates should have exceptional writing and analytical skills. Current enrollment in a law school course of study or a J.D. is required, and demonstrated interest in working on policy issues – such as tech, telecommunications, antitrust, privacy, environment, trade, civil rights, racial justice, elections, agriculture, or other judicial policy issues – is preferred. Individuals affiliated with external and/or law-school-sponsored summer fellowship programs are eligible and encouraged to apply. The office also accepts applications from current law students not affiliated with a fellowship program. The Senator’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
