Summary
This position is located in the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Fraud Prevention Programs (FPP), Consular Integrity Division (CID). CA/FPP/CID seeks to strengthen and ensure the integrity of consular operations by identifying and safeguarding against employee malfeasance.
Duties
collects and analyzes data on overseas and domestic consular operations and management controls related to internal fraud and malfeasance.
Prepares analyses and interprets information from overseas posts, other federal agencies, and domestic passport agencies. Evaluates data and prepares comprehensive recommendations covering the law and facts.
Determines patterns, magnitudes, and various techniques used in instances of consular malfeasance. Targets problem areas using data analysis techniques and software.
Analyzes facts and responds to questions posed by personnel administering federal laws relating to consular integrity matters.
Prepares guidance to posts and agencies in response to specific instances, indicators, or allegations of consular malfeasance or vulnerabilities to malfeasance.
