Pay Range: $60,000-$75,000*

Position Summary:
Scouting Colorado seeks a dynamic and experienced Annual Giving Director to lead and
manage our Annual Giving programs raising between $500,000-$750,000. Reporting to the
Chief Development and Marketing Officer (CDMO), this role is responsible for the strategic
planning, execution, and growth of the annual giving program. The Annual Giving Director
will oversee all aspects of the campaign and work collaboratively with volunteers, board
members, and other stakeholders to achieve revenue goals and enhance donor
engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
• Collaborate with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer to develop and
execute comprehensive fundraising strategies.
• Manage budgets, track performance, and provide regular reports to leadership.
• Manage one part-time administrative staff member and collaborate with the
Database Manager on a regular basis.
Annual Giving Program:
• Design and implement a comprehensive annual giving strategy to increase donor
retention and acquisition.

• Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns (e.g., direct mail, digital
giving, donor stewardship, in-person presentations).
• Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors and prospects managing
a small donor portfolio.
• Work with the Database Manager to ensure accurate donor records and reporting as
well as distribution of year-end tax receipts.
• Collaborate with District staff and volunteers to plan and execute a campaign to
reach families and community members.
• Design material and approach for any solicitations that happen in partnership with
our special events team (sports breakfast)
Donor Stewardship and Engagement:
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and community stakeholders.
• Implement donor recognition programs and stewardship activities to enhance
donor satisfaction and retention.
• Partner with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator to develop compelling
donor communication materials.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, business,
communications) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit development with a focus on annual
giving.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
Suite.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Scouting Colorado.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with volunteer committees and boards.

• Basic understanding of current Scouting Colorado fundraising practices including
family and district campaigns.
• Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Colorado.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
To perform the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to
occasionally stand, walk, reach, and use hands and fingers for handling or operating office
equipment. The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively and perceive
information through sight and hearing. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 30

Work location is primarily in-office with potential for hybrid opportunities. Occasional
nights and weekends may be required in busier seasons, and pre-planned attendance at
organizational events or meetings may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
* Final compensation will be determined based on experience, relevant skills, and
certifications.
Benefits include, among others, medical, dental, vision, 403(b) match, paid time off, and
