JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Relations, the Associate Director of Corporate Relations is a full-time position responsible for increasing revenue by building and strengthening relationships with key corporate partners. The Associate Director of Corporate Relations will manage a portfolio of companies, focusing on retaining and growing corporate partnerships, workplace giving, and developing stewardship and retention strategies. This role requires effective communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively navigate a fast paced, high-volume environment with consistent attention to detail.

This role supports the goals of

  • Growing and maintaining the base of support to United Way, ensuring donor database accuracy to drive correct data and analytics through corporate accounts and individuals outside the workplace.
  • Increasing awareness and knowledge among prospects, donors, and other key stakeholders about the Child Well-Being Movement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Preferred experience in nonprofit development, corporate relations, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems and data management preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exceed yearly revenue and metric-driven goals.
  • Create revenue growth strategies within portfolio of corporations, corporate champions, and internal stakeholders for each account, informed by targeted research and the company’s CSR focus.
  • Strategic engagement of companies year-round through creation and implementation of specific donor/corporate engagement strategies in partnership with Community Engagement, other teams within the Office of Development, Marketing, and/or Volunteerism.
  • Solicit and secure corporate gifts in support of UWGA’s Child Well-Being Mission Fund and other key initiatives that advance the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Develops and executes a strategic plan to build and maintain relationships with different types of workplace donors e.g. returning, new, lapsed or lapsing, to maximize retention and increase giving.
  • Develops and submits grant proposals, collaborates with the Data Implementation Director
  • Adherence to the projection management policy and full compliance with all organizational data management standards and procedures.
  • Promote collaboration, recognizing our shared goals, and regularly work alongside colleagues within and outside of the Office of Development.
