Job Description

The Jud Ashman for Montgomery County Council (District 3) campaign is searching for an energetic and reliable campaign manager to mostly organize and lead field operations, and occasionally help with fundraising. The candidate is a Democrat who is on the pragmatic side of progressive and wants to make the county more affordable, foster job opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for its residents.


Responsibilities include:
  • Working directly with the candidate to manage all aspects of the campaign
  • Overseeing the field operation
  • Organizing volunteers for canvassing, calling, and working the polls
  • Managing meet & greet events
  • Keeping track of endorsement group questionnaires and interviews
  • Other duties as needed


An ideal candidate has:
  • Previous campaign experience, specifically with field organizing
  • Knowledge of the district, which covers Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Washington Grove
  • Experience working with Votebuilder/VAN
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Calm demeanor
