Job Description
Overview
Argo Strategies is seeking a full time Compliance and Finance Assistant to supervise aspects of compliance and financial administration for a wide range of clients, both state and local. We are seeking someone to join our Seattle team of campaign professionals to work with our Democratic candidates, our nonprofits and our political action committees.
While this position is ideally a fulltime, permanent position, we understand that folks may only be able to make commitments through the end of the next election cycle. We would revisit and renew the position in November 2022 in those circumstances.
Should the right permanent candidate fill this position (and is seeking growth within the company), that person would quickly be mentored and trained to be promoted to the Compliance Director position, a senior position within the company.
Job Responsibilities
The Compliance and Finance Assistant will work with a team of campaign professionals to implement our clients’ strategies and manage client financials. Training and mentorship will be provided for these parts of the job description. Job responsibilities will include:
· Client Management: Serve as a point of contact for the financial, technical and banking needs of all Argo clients. Generate reports for clients as needed and assist in their database setup, training and support.
· Administrative and Office Management: Manage the office administration - including, but not limited, to answering emails sent to our office account, ordering office supplies, filing, photocopying and data entry.
· Intern Supervisor: Implement and supervise the Argo internship program.
· Other duties as assigned: Proactively anticipate new responsibilities and needs of clients. At Argo, everyone does a little bit of everything. No one is above restocking paper towels or doing data entry.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should have at least some experience with office administration, campaign management, volunteer supervision and/or accounting.
Successful applicants should be very organized, confident in customer service, have high stamina and endurance for campaign life, and turn around assignments quickly. They should be very detail-oriented and learn quickly. Experience in Washington DC, in a state legislature, on a campaign or other Democratic party organization is helpful, but not required. Applicants should have access to reliable transportation at a moment’s notice.
We’re looking for someone who believes they would thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy Democratic consulting firm.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting salary of $48,000-52,000/year
Medical/Dental coverage (100%)
401k and profit-sharing after one year of employment
Travel reimbursement (for travel more than 30 miles from office)
Bonuses, if applicable
Five weeks paid vacation
Location
This position is located in the Argo Strategies headquarters office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, just one block from 15th Ave NW and Market Street. We are mostly working remotely during this time, however some days in the office (alone or with one other person) are common at peak times.

Please send a cover letter and resume via email to info@argo.us. Calls for inquiry are accepted but only resumes and cover letters will be considered for interview.
Start Date/Application Deadline:

About Argo Strategies
Argo Strategies is an LGBTQ-owned political consulting firm specializing in campaign strategy, treasury and public disclosure compliance, campaign tools & resources, and direct voter communications for Democratic candidates, political action committees and issues.
We believe that the Democratic party (and the people we elect) can help advocate for and raise the voices of marginalized and disenfranchised people in society — including people of color, people from working class backgrounds, people with disabilities, neurodivergent folks, veterans, immigrants and refugees, women, and LGBTQ people. We believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do. The more inclusive and equitable we are, the better our work, our party and our communities will be. Hence, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.
Argo Strategies is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. We will provide all accommodations necessary during the recruitment process and through the terms of employment as requested and confidentially.
