The Office of U.S. Senator Gary C. Peters seeks a highly motivated Constituent Services Representative for the Detroit office. A background in government or public service is preferred. Senator Peters’ Constituent Services staff works with the Senator to assist Michiganders having difficulties with various federal agencies. Casework portfolio requires interacting with and knowledge of a wide range of federal agencies. The primary duties of the Constituent Services Representative are assisting constituents with issues with federal agencies, answering constituent telephone calls and additional responsibilities based on staff needs and experience of the ideal candidate. Qualifications: four-year college degree, experience in constituent services, strong written and oral communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ability to be self-motivated and flexible while handling multiple tasks; ability to complete tasks quickly and effectively with minimal supervision; able to maintain a positive attitude and possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills in a deadline-driven work environment.
