Job Description
The Office of Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06) is accepting Fall 2026 internship applications for our Washington, D.C. office. This paid internship is open to qualified undergraduate or graduate students, or recent college graduates.
Legislative interns will assist with the day-to-day workings and operations of the office, including, but not limited to:
- Answering constituent phone calls
- Attending committee hearings and briefings
- Working with legislative and communications staff on projects
- Assisting in the coordination of White House and U.S. Capitol tours
- Drafting and responding to constituent correspondence
Interns will gain insight into the legislative process, network with staff, and learn about the inner workings and responsibilities of a congressional office.
Interns can expect to work full time and in person Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The internship program will begin in September and end in December.
