Job Title: Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator

Supervisor: Chief Development Officer

Job Summary: The Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Center for Child Protection by supporting meaningful relationships with donors, members, and community partners. This externally facing position leads the Friends of Christopher Guild (Guild) membership experience while providing high-level support to the Development team. The role is designed as a growth opportunity for a relationship-driven professional seeking to build a career in nonprofit development and fundraising. Through thoughtful engagement, strong organization, and a commitment to excellence, this position helps ensure children and families in our community receive the care and support they need.

Key Responsibilities

Guild Membership & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Guild members, fostering a welcoming, mission-centered experience
  • Lead membership recruitment, onboarding, and renewal efforts with a focus on retention and growth
  • Execute personalized communications, engagement opportunities, and recognition strategies
  • Build authentic relationships that deepen connection to the mission and expand community support
  • Track engagement and identify opportunities to grow member involvement and giving
  • Facilitate monthly Guild leadership and Guild general meetings
  • Serve as staff liaison for Board PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon committee

Donor Engagement & Stewardship

  • Support donor cultivation by coordinating Guild meetings, preparing briefing materials, and managing follow-up
  • Assist in creating thoughtful and mission-aligned donor experiences
  • Maintain accurate donor records and engagement tracking within the CRM
  • Contribute to strategies that strengthen long-term donor relationships
  • Attend Board Donor Relations Committee meetings

Executive & Development Team Support

  • Provide proactive administrative support to Development leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination and preparation, and accurate note taking and follow-up
  • Track priorities and timelines, and send follow-ups to ensure progress across development initiatives
  • Develop donor profiles, reports, and presentation materials
  • Maintain clear and consistent internal and external communications by centralizing outgoing messaging from the Development team, tracking responses and coordinating follow-ups

Events & Fundraising Support

  • Coordinate logistics, guest experience, and post-event follow-up for Guild events, including food, venue, parking and day-of details
  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising events that reflect the organization’s commitment to excellence
  • Attend all Center fundraising and donor related events
  • Support a high-quality, relationship-centered experience for donors and community members

Development Operations

  • Maintain CRM data integrity regarding Guild members and support reporting needs
  • Assist with Guild related gift processing and timely donor acknowledgments for new and existing members
  • Support sponsorship tracking, fulfillment and engagement activities

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide Program support for forensic, therapy and medical cases, as needed
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s mission, program, vision, core values, and the children’s advocacy center model
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and other meetings as assigned
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or relationship-focused roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated confidence engaging external stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate needs
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Virtuous, Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred
  • Commitment to the mission of serving children and families impacted by abuse
