Job Summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Development Manager to join this 32 year old affiliate as it embarks on a strategic growth initiative. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, outgoing relationship-builder experienced with and responsible for all fundraising and grants related to the organization. You will identify prospects and build a pipeline of potential partnerships that will help accelerate the company's financial growth.

Our mission is focused on providing Affordable Home-Ownership solutions.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned Fundraiser to leverage the $13 Billion dollar brand of Habitat for Humanity to help propel our companies into greater productivity and impact.

This is not an entry level position. You MUST have Development/Fund Raising experience with measurable results as qualifiers. Please do not apply for this job unless you have measurable history in the Development Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a plan for growth through the cultivation of donations & grants.
  • Working with the Executive Director and Compliance Director, create the structure for a thriving Development Department. Raising Gen-Ops funding is a critical responsibility of this role.
  • Create and take ownership of fundraising events-
  • Act as a professional and accurate public representative for the organization.
  • Comprehensively learn all aspects of HFHGG, it's programs, initiatives, and policies.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams and team members.
  • Build and lead a team of paid college interns to develop a robust data base of donors and potential donors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Measurable track record of success in the Development sector.
  • Extremely detail oriented with critical thinking acumen.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing & communication skills, and superb listening skills.
  • Proven social-media marketing acumen.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Judicious use of AI without losing the human element in the process.
