Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Philanthropy & Grants to lead our donor relations and development efforts. This key leadership position is responsible for designing and leading a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission of the Edna W. Runner Education Center. This role focuses on cultivating donor relationships, identifying and writing grants, managing stewardship activities, and working closely with the Executive Director and Board to create and implement strategies that ensure the organization's financial sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:


✍️ Fundraising & Grant

Grants Management

:· Research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies

.· Prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals, reports, and compliance documentation

.· Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, and funding pipelines

.· Coordinate with program and finance staff to gather data for proposals and reports

.· Track grant expenditures and ensure alignment with award requirements.

· Events Management

:· Plan, manage, and execute fundraising and stewardship events

.· Develop event budgets, timelines, logistics, and vendor contracts

.· Recruit and manage volunteers, committees, and sponsors for events

.· Monitor event performance, return on investment, and donor engagement outcomes

Qualifications

  • :4+ years minimum of nonprofit development experience and fundraisin
  • gBachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related fiel
  • dStrong grant writing and donor stewardship skill
  • sFamiliarity with donor databases and CRM system
  • sExcellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skill
  • sStrong leadership and networking abilitie
  • sDemonstrated success in securing major gifts and grant
  • sStrong organizational and time management skill
