Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington, DC-Baltimore area for a Director of Development. The Director of Development will oversee and execute fundraising strategies, including planned giving, annual giving programs, and major donor cultivation. They will design and manage the organization's fundraising budget, build strong relationships with donors, and collaborate with the leadership team to identify and secure philanthropic partnerships. The role also involves analyzing fundraising performance, preparing detailed reports, and implementing innovative approaches to maximize donor engagement and financial support.
Qualifications
- Experience and expertise in Planned Giving and Annual Giving strategies.
- Proficiency in Philanthropy and building strong donor relationships.
- Proven leadership in Budgeting and strategic financial planning.
- Strong skills in Fundraising, including crafting campaigns and engaging diverse donor bases.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in nonprofit development or advancement roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Passion for supporting underserved communities and aligning with Dream Project's mission.
