Director of Government Affairs

The organization is seeking a Director of Government Affairs to be based in Washington, DC. This full-time, on-site role involves leading advocacy efforts to influence policies and legislation that benefit Alaska Native the organization corporations and their stakeholders. Key responsibilities include building relationships with governmental bodies, overseeing legislative initiatives, and collaborating with leadership on strategic policy issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in governmental affairs, a strong understanding of federal and state legislative processes, and exceptional communication skills. Familiarity with Alaska Native cultures and the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act is highly desirable.
