Summary
This position is part of the National Nuclear Security Administration. The Foreign Affairs Specialist works directly with the NA-1.1 Policy
Director to steer the Office's work in ways that will ensure the immediate and long-term relevancy of policy-focused initiatives. This includes leading efforts to address, enterprise-wide nuclear security policies for timely, consistent, and holistic decision-making by the NNSA Administrator, the Principal Deputy Administrator, and other NNSA officials.
Duties
As a Foreign Affairs Specialist at the full performance level, you will:
Participate in growing and executing the enterprise-wide nuclear security policy function.
Conceive, develop, and implement longer-term risks and challenges that may impact the enterprise in all its dimension.
Manage, oversee, and/or lead NNSA/DOE activities, and operations with foreign governments, interdepartmental, interagency, international committees and groups, intra- and inter-departmental committees.
Identify and lead initiatives with partners on nuclear security related issues.
Represent NNSA at meetings to advance key issues and recommendations.
