Position: Part-time, Remote Legal Intern
Start and End Date: Runs Through 2024 Braves season
Position Overview: The Part-time, remote, Legal Intern is responsible for conducting legal research, handling special projects, and providing other legal support for matters assigned by members of the Braves legal department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Drafting special event agreements (license and location agreements), supplier agreements, and sponsorship agreements, and coordinating and reviewing with Braves’ attorneys.
- Responsible for preparing executive summaries of key Braves’ contracts.
- Conducting legal research on various legal issues impacting the company, and drafting legal letters, contracts, and memos as directed by Braves’ attorneys.
- Supporting Braves’ attorneys and outside government affairs firm with respect to pending and potential legislation impacting the Braves’ business.
- All other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current law student in good standing.
- Background in corporate transactional, real estate, government affairs, intellectual property, data privacy, and litigation management preferred.
- Professional and customer service-oriented attitude required.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented person who can prioritize and follow through with minimal supervision.
- Must be a team player, who cares about teamwork and the team’s success.
- Must complete a successful criminal and credit background check.
- Position is remote.
