Job Description
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz seeks an organized and motivated self-starter to serve as Legislative Correspondent in her fast-paced Washington, D.C. office. Primary responsibilities include managing the correspondence program, drafting constituent responses, and serving as intern & tour coordinator. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to public service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the constituent management system, including sorting incoming messages and timely responses.
- Research and draft constituent mail with attention to detail to ensure clear and accurate communication across all issue areas.
- Maintain an organized constituent management system.
- Process and validate incoming data from multiple sources.
- Track metrics; produce weekly, quarterly, and annual reports for the mail program and the Legislative Team more broadly.
- Assist the Legislative Team and the DC Office with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills are essential.
- Familiarity with IQ is strongly preferred.
- Previous Hill experience is required.
- Florida ties are preferred.
