Position Overview
The George Conway for Congress campaign is seeking to hire a driven, well-organized, and hardworking member of the team to lead our community organizing and field departments.
The Organizing Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager to develop a well rounded community engagement strategy including house parties, and managing visibility events around the district. New York’s 12th Congressional District is situated in Manhattan and comprises the Upper East and West Sides down to the Chelsea and Stuyvesant neighborhoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Campaign Manager to develop and execute a robust field and community outreach program with clear metrics and goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the field plan to achieve campaign benchmarks and goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers/interns to achieve campaign benchmarks and goals.
Qualifications
- 1-2 cycles of field or organizing experience, preferably within New York City.
- Proficiency with NGP VAN (Votebuilder) and digital organizing tools to manage and expand voter contact.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple visibility events and house parties simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
Location & Compensation
- Based in New York City; this is an in-person role.
- This is a full-time position through the primary election.
- Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
