Tim Kaine for Virginia is seeking talented candidates to work as Petition Coordinators to ensure that
Virginia Senator Tim Kaine qualifies for the ballot for his re-election campaign in 2024.
We are looking for scrappy individuals who are ready to hit the ground running across the
Commonwealth; organize and empower grassroots leaders; and help set the tone for an exciting,
effective and tenacious campaign across Virginia.
Role Overview
Petition Coordinators will work with the campaign team to execute a volunteer-driven ballot access
program from January to March 2024. This will include (but will not be limited to) volunteer recruitment,
volunteer training, event management and relational organizing. Petition Coordinators should be
self-starters, as well as creative, agile, and scrappy. While no prior campaign experience is necessary for
this role, petition coordinators may benefit from 1-2 cycles of previous campaign experience, whether
that comes from politics, advocacy or a related setting.
Responsibilities
Execute a fully compliant ballot access program while meeting daily and weekly goals
Train, coach and mentor volunteer teams to meet and exceed ballot access metrics.
Represent Kaine for Virginia across a diverse range of community settings.

This is a full-time, Virginia-based position with Senator Tim Kaine’s re-election campaign, and is expected
to conclude by the end of March 2024. Petition Coordinators will be offered medical, visual, and dental
benefits. The option to work remotely will not be available for this role.
